  1. I remember adopting my dog 4 years ago and watching this video a thousand times, now my dog is well trained and a “good boy” thank you 🙏

  2. I adopted my first dog from the shelter a month ago and she was a one when I first got her but now she’s definitely a two, which I hope just means she’s happier now she seems healthier now and I love her, so that’s not the problem I just want to train her right because she has such impulses. Im gonna watch all your videos you seem like a great guy.

  3. You have really helped me, I’ve have my black lab for almost a year and I’ve taught her sit, paw, stay, lie down, roll over, turn around, beg and heel😍

    😁😁

  5. I have watched so many of your videos that I have lost count. I am about twelve to fourteen months before the final commitment of bringing a dog home but clearly, I am already studying the responsibility of bringing a dog home. Your commitment, compassion and empathy is clear and appreciated.

  6. Thank you sooooo much! I wish these videos were available when I was younger for my dogs. With you’re help, I’m hoping to have a well behaved boy in a couple months!

  7. I am training my dog with a clicker and every time he heard the click on the video he looked at me for a treat 🤣… time to use headphones!!

  8. Since I got my first dog in the ’70s, I have never, ever used treats. When they do a trick right, I enthusiastically say “YES! GOOD! and give them a hug. They love knowing they pleased their master better than a treat. It worked good enough that a Golden Retriever I once had, loved learning so much that I ran out of tricks and she still wanted to learn and so I taught her all the same tricks with sign language. I taught our Yellow Lab to look for shady looking people. I had a guy fixing an appliance at the house once and he brought his son to teach him his trade. We weren’t paying attention to (the son) but the dog was and he growled. We all looked and he was casing our house (he was arrested a few weeks later for burglarizing someone else’s home).

  9. John Munk Hi there!
My interest would be to share very complete information about a Canine Education System, a manual in which you can teach, share, have a lot of knowledge, about your Canine friend.
Here I leave you the link of one of our education systems

  10. Energetic pups can be a real challenge and it’s great to see these techniques put into practice! Thanks Zak 🙂

  11. @Joseph Desaulniers is it too late to train my dog? He’s only 11 months old and is a german shepherd

  12. @Isai Felix it’s never too late to train a dog :)) My old dog Molly was taught most of her tricks when she was 13

  13. I got ahead with my dog’s training after reading ” Forward Fast Dog Training by Kelly Ferris”. Found out how to stop my dog from jumping on people. Learned that you quick turn your back on the dog when they jump and leave the room through the door. When dog finally stops jumping you give him a treat.

  14. Thanks for this Chris, I’m having the same issue with a dog I’m walking for my elderly neighbour. He’s built like a tank and he’s jumping up on people (inc us) I will try this. Thanks! 🙂 Btw, is that book you’re reading? I tried to access the website Forward Fast Dog Training by Kelly Ferris but it gave me an error message.

  15. I just had my black lab! Shes 1 month old and very energetic, were working on sit, lie down, leave it and come

  16. Great video!!
I watched it at the end of last year when I had just adopted a puppy that belonged to my father, he was 9 months old and messed up a lot, after I started to apply some things from his video it improved a lot !!. I got interested and even bought a cheap course on the internet that teaches a little more about how to train different types of dogs. Now we have spent quality time with him as a family, I recommend it highly.

  17. Good info the best success that ive had was by using the Bevs Booster Guide (just google it) – I found it the most helpful resource that I have ever tried.

  18. We just adopted a dog (he’s a rescue!) and I’ve been searching ways to train your dog :’) this helped a lot! Loved your energy

  19. The concept you’re using is the same! Positive reinforcement. Food is an easy one to reinforce wanted behaviour. So is showing very happily that you’re proud of whatever they did and give them pets and love as reinforcement!

  20. @ShinningCrys True, but I believe dogs (and other animals-even wild animals to an extent read tone of voice) pick up on things we don’t even realize we’re doing (which is how I found out they follow signs we automatically give when teaching a trick) and so to avoid their thinking I owe them a treat for doing something right, I give them the love and affection they crave instead. That is, you love them anyway, so you give them extra and especially when they first pick up on a trick. It can make me feel a little silly, but the first time they get a trick right, I make a bunch of hoopla over them. I think it helps them WANT to learn more.

  21. if i am dont training them and they know how to sit and lay down how do they know what command should they do

  22. thank you so much i want a puppy but im a kid and i need to lean how to teach puppys and dogs!!

  23. *I’m in the process of training a new 6 month old rescue and this book came out just in time It’s clear, easy to understand and well written **dogy.training** The author is not trying to impress anyone with some crazy over comprehensive unclear writing or training techniques like many books **do.My** shelter puppy has responded well to the 7 common commands and is progressing nicely with the crate training and potty training explained in this book.I’m on day 9 so reinforcing the techniques in this book help daily thanks to Brandon and his no frills training style!*

  24. These are interesting concepts. I’m looking to train my family’s terrier pit bull mix and I’ve got some idea for kennel and harness training but past that I didnt know what I could do for teaching him anything past sit. Thank you for the ideas, what to look for, and what to avoid doing!

  25. @Mystickid ah yes, cause mum doesnt want it. i really hope someday i will have dogs. cause they are amazing!

  26. @John Munk hey John. Sorry I don’t understand, would you mind explaining again how you got your dog to look for shady people again please? I think I understand but usually shady people don’t drop their head and look around very exaggerated like you were explaining, sort of like a movie bad guy. Especially In front of you (the people they were gonna steal from)

  27. I have 3 pitbull mix dogs, one is 6, one is 5 and one is 3. We have been working for 2 days on sit and down and they are doing amazing! I have been using treats and hand signals with words and sometimes just the hand signal. I am wanting all of my dogs to be able to be used as therapy dogs.

  30. A family members dog had puppies a few months ago and recently gave me one, I was able to teach him to sit and shake, was trying to get him to lay down and this video easily taught me how to teach him. It’s incredible. Thank you!

  31. I love working with my high energy baby, too. She’s so smart and so excited to learn and get rewarded with treats and so much love and kisses. You are awesome the way you interact with dogs and let them know what your does they are I love your classes I wish I could get one on ones with learning to be a dog handler by you

  32. Bro my olg dog was death im so use to using pointing or body language to make dogs do stuff instead of speaking
